How your picks quota works
What counts as a pick, when your quota resets, and how rollover, top-ups and the free teaser fit together.
What counts as a pick, and what does not
Your quota went down by one overnight and you are not sure why. Only one thing can do that. A pick is a notification that was actually sent to you: a pre-match matchup satisfied every condition of a strategy you follow or own, and a message went out on one of your channels. That send deducts one pick from your monthly quota. Nothing else does. Browsing public strategies, running backtests, studying stats or reading settled picks never touches it.
Two details are worth spelling out, because this is where people usually expect fine print:
- Failed deliveries still count. If a notification was dispatched but never reached you (a bounced email, an unreachable Telegram account), the attempt itself burns the pick. Keeping your channels healthy is on you.
- Skipped picks never count. If a matchup matches one of your strategies but no notification goes out, nothing is deducted. You are only ever charged for messages that were actually dispatched.
One sent notification, one pick. No hidden multipliers, no charges for things you never received a message about.
Your quota window: an anniversary, not a calendar
Your quota does not reset on the 1st of the month, and it does not follow your billing cycle either. It runs on a monthly anniversary window anchored on the date you subscribed.
Took your plan on the 14th? Your allowance covers the 14th of one month to the 14th of the next, then resets, whatever the calendar says. And this is deliberately independent of how you pay: whether your plan bills weekly, monthly or quarterly, the picks quota is always granted and reset on that same monthly rhythm. A quarterly payment does not mean one giant three-month pool, and weekly billing does not mean a weekly quota.
Why it matters: you never lose days of allowance to an arbitrary calendar cutoff. Subscribing on the 28th gives you a full month of picks, not three days.
Rollover: when unused picks carry over
On plans that include picks rollover, picks you did not use in a window are not lost. They carry over and stack on top of the next month's allowance, so a quiet month (an off-season, a holiday, a paused strategy) builds a buffer for a busy one.
One caveat: that accumulated balance lives and dies with your subscription. If your plan ends, the rolled-over picks disappear with it. Rollover is a cushion inside an active subscription, not a savings account you can cash out later. Which plans include rollover is listed on the plans page.
Top-ups: extra picks on demand
If a hot streak of matchups is about to exhaust your allowance, you can buy a top-up: a one-shot pack of extra picks, purchased separately from your plan. Two rules govern them:
- Top-ups are spent after your plan allowance. Your monthly (and rolled-over) picks always burn first; the pack is only touched once they are gone.
- Top-ups only work while a plan is active. They extend a subscription, they do not replace one. Without an active plan, a pack sits unused.
No plan yet? The free teaser
Without any plan, you can still see up to 10 settled picks: picks whose matches have already finished, with the odds and the outcome. The point is transparency. You can judge what a strategy's picks actually looked like before you pay anything. Receiving live picks as notifications, however, requires an active plan.
Estimate your volume before you follow
The single best habit for never running dry, and never overpaying, is to check a strategy's average picks per month before following it. Every strategy displays it, computed from its full history.
Add that number up across everything you follow and you have a realistic estimate of your monthly consumption. Compare the total with the allowances on the plans page and choose accordingly. Remember it is an average: sports calendars breathe, so a congested week or a season break can push a strategy well above or below its usual pace.
Keeping your volume under control
If your consumption runs hotter than planned, you have levers that do not require changing plans:
- Follow fewer, or more selective, strategies. A strategy with tight filters and a low average picks per month gives you fewer, more deliberate picks than a high-volume one.
- Pause a strategy. Each of your strategies has a master Enabled toggle in its header; turning it off stops live detection entirely, so it generates no picks until you switch it back on.
- Mute channels per strategy. App, email and Telegram can each be muted strategy by strategy, so a noisy strategy can stop pinging your phone without you dropping it.
