• League standing, standing gap and season phase

Volleyball in numbers

Across more than 46,000 settled matches in the dataset: 46 percent end 3-0, 33 percent 3-1 and 22 percent go to a tie-break. Favorites priced 1.25 or shorter win 89 percent of the time and cover the -1.5 set handicap in 80 percent of matches; between 1.60 and 1.90 they win barely 55 percent and the match reaches five sets 30 percent of the time. Home teams win 55 percent overall, but the rate ranges from 53 percent in the Turkish women's league to 62 percent in Italy's Serie A2, which is why league-level filters matter so much here.
