BetExplorer Alternative: The Stats Are Still There, the Pinnacle Odds Are Not

BetExplorer is where system bettors research form, streaks and head-to-heads, then check the archived pre-match odds. Since Pinnacle closed its public feed, the sharp price is missing from that archive. Bet2Invest holds it, and turns the streak research into filters you can backtest in one click.

What BetExplorer is, and what changed

BetExplorer, part of the Livesport group behind Flashscore, is the researcher's odds site: league tables back to 1989/90, results archives with pre-match odds, top scorers, home and away splits, over/under goal tables, streak trackers, head-to-head records, an odds filter and dropping odds. If you have ever built a system on "teams on a five-match winning run playing at home", the numbers probably came from here.

The odds half of that workflow has changed. Since Pinnacle closed its public feed on 23 July 2025, Pinnacle odds no longer appear among the bookmakers shown on BetExplorer; the archived prices belong to recreational bookmakers, the ones whose numbers make a marginal system look like a winner. There is still no export and no API.

Bet2Invest is an official Pinnacle API partner and has been archiving Pinnacle opening and closing odds for years. The Pinnacle historical odds database sits behind a backtesting engine whose filters cover exactly the research BetExplorer is used for: form, streaks, scoring rates, head-to-head, standings, rest days, season phase.

Why streak systems need sharp odds to be tested

A streak is public information. When a team has won five in a row, the market knows, and the price already reflects it. The only way to know whether "back the streak" or "fade the streak" makes money is to settle every such match at a price you could actually have taken, which means the Pinnacle close, not a recreational book's number copied from an archive. Soft prices flatter form systems more than any other kind, because form is exactly what casual money chases.

When BetExplorer is still the right tool

Looking up a table, a scorer list, a head-to-head, a run of results: BetExplorer is free, complete and fast. Keep it for research. It was never a backtesting database, and without Pinnacle its archive is a weaker basis for one than it used to be.

What Bet2Invest replaces

1. The archive, with the sharp price back in

Every matchup carries its Pinnacle opening and closing price and its settled result, across up to 10 years of soccer, soon 20, and 5 years each of basketball, tennis, American football, baseball, ice hockey, volleyball and esports. See the sports coverage for markets and depth.

2. The streak pages, as filters

What you read match by match on BetExplorer is a filter here: result streaks, scoring streaks, last-N result rates, goals averages, BTTS rates, head-to-head, league standing, rest days, season phase. Combine them with market filters the archive never had, odds range, league line movement, vig, and the engine settles every qualifying match at the real Pinnacle close in seconds. Browse all 37 filters.

3. The next step

A system that holds can be followed live, with picks by email or Telegram tracked against the Pinnacle close, or automated on your own Pinnacle account through the official API with Pinnacle Automation.

Moving a BetExplorer system to Bet2Invest

  1. Name the streak. Five wins, three clean sheets, four overs: each is a streak or rate filter with a length and a threshold.
  2. Add the price. Put an odds range on the side you back so the test only counts matches priced the way you would bet them.
  3. Run it on Pinnacle closings. If the yield survives, the streak carries an edge; if not, the market was already pricing it.
  4. Start free. The Explorer plan gives you the builder and the database with a capped backtest window, no card required. Not sure where to start? Open a ready-made strategy for your sport.

Frequently asked questions

Does BetExplorer still show Pinnacle odds?

Pinnacle closed its public feed in July 2025 and no longer appears among the bookmakers shown on BetExplorer. Its archived pre-match odds come from the recreational bookmakers it still lists.

Does Bet2Invest have the same statistics as BetExplorer?

It has them as filters rather than pages: streaks, result rates, goals averages, BTTS rates, head-to-head, standings, rest days and season phase, all precomputed on every matchup so a backtest can use them. It does not publish scorer lists or narrative match pages.

Can I export historical odds from Bet2Invest?

Bet2Invest is a backtesting engine, not a bulk odds dump. You get settled backtest results, statistics, breakdowns and picks, in the app or through the public API and Python client on Sharp and Edge plans.

How far back does the Bet2Invest history go?

Up to 10 years for soccer, with 20 years on the way, and 5 years for basketball, tennis, American football, baseball, ice hockey, volleyball and esports, with both the opening and the closing Pinnacle price on every matchup.

Is Bet2Invest free?

The Explorer plan is free and needs no card: the full builder and the odds database with a capped backtest window. Paid plans from €49.95/month extend the window to the full history and unlock the advanced market filters and automation.

Can I keep using BetExplorer alongside Bet2Invest?

Yes. BetExplorer for tables, scorers and match-by-match reading; Bet2Invest to test whether the pattern you spotted has paid at Pinnacle closing prices over the last ten seasons before you bet it.
